Robin Burton-Jenkins
1/19/1963 - 10/06/2006
On October 6, 2006, the Kissimmee Fire Department Lost one of its brothers. Robin was on his way home from work when he was run over by an SUV driving Eastbound on the Osceola Parkway.
Robin was assigned to B-Shift on Squad 11. He was a great guy to be around and I guarantee no matter how many good things I could say about him, his brothers and sisters on B-shift are the ones that could give you a real perspective on Robin. Robin was the type of guy who could put a smile on your face no matter what trials or tribulations you were going through at the time. Anyone who says they weren't touched by him in some way or another, is a liar.
Robin served the City of Kissimmee as a firefighter for 2 ½ years. He was a former firefighter with Escambia County Florida where he worked for 4 years, and a decorated 16 year member of the Her Majesty’s Royal Army and Royal Navy as part of their special operations team. He was born and raised in London England but moved to America in 1996 to join his wife and raise their family here.
Robin is survived by his wife, Karen, and two sons Christian, 8 and Ryan, 11. KFD’s family extends their thoughts and prayers to Karen, Ryan, and Christian and all of Robin’s family.
